A few months ago I read the gripping tale of a woman who changed the direction of her life, trusting in her skills and broadening her abilities in order to make the leap of working abroad.
Her spunk and courage have brought her love – she met the man who became her husband – and adventure – she’s been shot. Her story is captivating and humorously told and you can read it for yourself at “What about your saucepans – the adventures of an expat in the Dominican Republic”.
Amazingly, she has awarded me the Blogger of the Year Award! I know, I can’t figure it out either!
Anyway, go check her out but, *winks* word to the wise ‘an all that, just don’t get her started on the state of the roads or toilets!
Right, I have to post the rules, so here goes…
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – / and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them
5 You can now also join our Facebook page – click the link here ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlogoftheYear/ and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…
And the winners are…
This’ll be a scant list as I just named all my faves a few days ago, but here are a few that should have made the cut, if it weren’t for my lousy memory…
Intercultural Meanderings – Intercultural Business issues, Expat Issues, and Multicultural Issues of All Types, by Lynne Diligent.
Just another manic mummy – An honest look at life minus the sugar-coated sales pitch. This clear-sighted bi-polar surviver tells it like it is…
I was an expat wife – she’s back on home soil, she’s come full circle – Maria gives the lowdown on expatriation and repatriation and all the details in-between!
Dippyman – Paul Brook talks candidly and clearly about what it’s like to struggle with depression.
Lastly, this is a blog I really enjoy – thought-provoking, creative, inspiring and fascinating. The author is a creative tour de force and his latest project “irevue” promises to be equally scintillating. Check out Cristian Mihai for an artistic kick up the arse!
Congratulations … and I received one too … plus thanks for visiting!
